Founder Journey and zkCross Network History
Surf is built on more than a decade of experience designing execution systems for real capital.

Surf was created by Shivam Tandon, founder and CEO of zkCross Network. Shivam started his entrepreneurial journey in 2012. In 2014, he had his first exit, building one of the first cloud-based printing kiosks in collaboration with Dell UK through their entrepreneurship programme. He entered crypto in 2016, mining Ethereum, and in 2017 launched what was probably the first trading bot on Telegram. That system processed $145M+ in volume in under two years, fully bootstrapped. No funding. No team. Just a product people used because it worked. Those early systems shaped a core principle that still drives Surf today:
Automation without control scales mistakes faster than humans.
That insight led to the creation of zkCross Network, a cross-chain execution and settlement infrastructure built to move value safely across blockchains while preserving user custody and security guarantees.
Over the past 3 years, zkCross Network has built the execution foundation Surf now runs on:
Built production-grade cross-chain routing and execution rails
Worked directly with major blockchains and DeFi ecosystems
Processed $107M+ in on-chain volume across 194K+ transactions
Secured over $750K in ecosystem grants, including Stellar, Arbitrum, Internet Computer, and Partisia.
Completed multiple security audits and production reviews
Developed MPC (Multi-Party Computation) and zero-knowledge-based signing and control systems
This work was not consumer-facing. It was infrastructure.

Surf is the first consumer product built on top of that foundation, bringing zkCross Networkβs execution, security, and control stack directly to users.
