# Agent Identity on ERC-8004

<figure><img src="/files/zK4o9ZDZ3dbhdFrLtUAc" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

Surf runs as an autonomous on-chain agent, and that agent has a verifiable identity. **Surf AI** is registered under **ERC-8004**, the Ethereum standard for trustless agent identity, so its identity, capabilities and behaviour can be inspected on-chain by anyone, rather than taken on trust.

### What ERC-8004 is

ERC-8004 is an open standard that gives autonomous agents a portable, on-chain identity. It is backed by an Identity Registry that records who the agent is, a Reputation Registry that records how it has behaved, and validation of the capabilities the agent declares. This lets any user, application or counterparty verify an agent before trusting it with capital or actions, with no reliance on a centralised directory.

### Surf AI on the registry

* **Agent name:** Surf AI
* **Standard:** ERC-8004, discoverable on 8004scan
* **Networks:** live across Ethereum, Base and Polygon
* **Registrations:** Ethereum (agent #34135), Base (agent #51085) and Polygon (agent #517)
* **Owner:** the agent owner wallet is published on-chain

The same registration is shared across networks through the ERC-8004 multi-chain registrations array, so Surf AI's identity and metadata stay consistent everywhere it operates.

### What is verifiable

**What Surf AI does, on the record:** Surf is an AI savings agent. It hunts the best rate across on-chain markets and routes a depositor's capital there, automatically. Every routing decision is signed by a 3-of-4 MPC and every execution is atomic. Surf is built on the zkCross Network execution layer, whose infrastructure is Halborn-audited. It operates 24/7, with no lock-ups and instant withdrawals.

**Declared capabilities (OASF):**

* Skills: strategic planning, long-horizon reasoning, workflow automation, anomaly detection, performance monitoring, risk classification.
* Domains: DeFi, investment services, smart contracts.

**Trust model:** Surf AI declares reputation-based trust, backed by the ERC-8004 Reputation Registry, where user reviews are recorded on-chain. Cryptographic and attestation-based trust models will be declared only once they are live, never before.

### Why it matters

Most AI agents ask you to trust a brand. Surf AI asks you to verify. Its identity, what it is allowed to do, and how it has behaved all live on-chain, under the same principle that governs the rest of the platform: the AI proposes, deterministic rules decide, and everything is provable rather than promised.
